I-ce scream

The second wave of the pandemic
felt like a prolonged brain-freeze that
one can’t really afford to freak out
about. There was no time to catch a
breather and this somehow forced
me to enter this state of numbness
to gradually lick up that ice cream
and make sure I keep on hanging
onto myself and the one above,
keeping the spirits high and believing
that one day again we all will be
sleeping under the same roof.
